1911's are notorious about what bullet type you feed them. If it wont feed HP's, then you need to have the feed ramp worked on, and it should help/solve the problem

imo get the 9mm first as an entry level gun, then upgrade to .45 acp when you're ready. Its good to have both. I started with a Glock 17, now I recently bought a 1911

there are a lot of people who would stone you for owning both a glock and a 1911. i'm not one of them, but there are a large number of people like that.

people die of fear when they hear the .45 so go with that cuz pistols r hard as fuck 2 shoot anyways

if you dont have correct guidance/technique/posture then they sure are hard to shoot
if you have correct technique and posture any caliber is easily shootable

also not even hard to learn
i teach my friends and cousins and they get it down in like 20 min
easily shooting center mass at 15-20 yards
not 1-2" groupings but center mass at 15-20 yards for first time shooter after 20min is good
