good choice
best value and top reliability
best subcompact on the market in my book
if you ever want the trigger to be smooth, check out APEX
they are the best and started by only making triggers for M&P and go with the "Carry" kit

Yea the trigger is set at 6.5lbs, been looking around for ones in the 4.5-5.5lb range.
Only going to be firing Hornady Critical Defense through it.

Also wanting to get a good set of night sights, any you recommend?

You can fire anything you want through it
It is 100% reliable and can take any ammo without fault or damage to the firearm
Shoot it with confidence
You want to be familiar and have plenty of practice with your CC so shoot as much as you can with range/target ammo until you have it down
Buy extra magazines
2 mags for range time and 2 mags for hornady critical defense carry

Not many night sights available for m&p shield
But I recommend TruGlo for very cheap ones and Trijicons or Meprolights for the top dollar ones(Meprolight being the cheaper vs the Trijicon)

Money
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/237874/trijicon-night-sight-set-s-and-w-m-and-p-shield-3-dot-tritium-green

You get what you pay for and these are always extremely bright at night

Go with these triggers only and this specific trigger kit

If you don't want to spend that much money on the trigger then just get these pieces

You want to shoot regular ammo through it to polish the ramp and break it in. Plus its cheaper and will help hps feed better

Dont worry maybe one day your dad might teach you how to shoot a gun and maybe.. just maybe teach you how to play catch. i know teenage years can be stressfull to nerds, just hang in there and one day you will be out of school and playing wow in your parents basement with nobody picking on you at all while you rule your little pixilated world.

the only gun I have is between my leg and i often shoot, also i didnt need my parents to use it.

When I purchased the gun it came with 3, 15/10/10 w/finger extension.
I plan on getting another two 15's.

Thanks man, I meant only firing HCD while carrying it.
Found the apex trigger kit for $108 on Amazon, looking to see if I can find it cheaper.

Will look into the sights a little later on.

Yea don't worry about the sights
Main thing you want to do when you get your CC is take it to the range as often as you can and get familiar with it
Most ranges don't let you fire from the draw and the ranges that do will only allow it if you take their certification test
Or you can just sign up for IDPA classes which is always fun as well
Monarch brass, brassmaxxx, and federal range ammo are always good cheap reliable ammo to practice with
They're dirty but they always fire and never jam. You're suppose to clean your gun after 1 or 2 range sessions but m&p always runs reliable
