Wow that reel is on super sale, Im going to buy that.
Im going to have to learn about all the lures/leaders ect, can anyone maybe recommend a youtube video, or maybe a great lure/bait site?
Like I said, first fishing trip! :D

I'd stick to the basics for your first time out. For bass, you can never go wrong with a Yamasenko - black with purple flake 5" is the one you'll always want to have on you.

Abu Garcia Max Black 2 as reel, and a Shimano rod. ;)

Got a case for it, a rapala knife/pliers, bunch of line, lures ect.

All in all spent 250.

it all depend where you are going
some are really good and some are absolute crap
my favorite one is pourvoirie st-zenon...they replace every fish u catch so the fishing quality is allway amazing..they even put 6-11 pound trouts in their lake

That sounds pretty bad ass, and good luck Spicer, enjoy it, it's not all about catching fish. It's being out in nature, enjoying the sights and sounds nature has to provide and just getting back to basics for me.

I enjoy any day out on the water, just to get away from everything else for a while. That being said, it's only a good day if somebody catches a fish. Not necessarily me, but if I'm with other people, we have to pull in at least one between us to make it a successful day.
