Decent morning. Went back in the afternoon. "It's too windy, I probably won't catch anything." 3 and a half pound largemouth on first cast. (Which is a nice size for where I go)

3.5 pounds is really nice over here
anything over that is considered a trophy tbh

This is where I got spooled so I know trees something much bigger in there. Have seen one jumping that has to be 6+ but there's no way to cast far enough from shore to get to him.

bring your kayak, man a 6lber would pull your kayak all over the place.

Too easy to get kicked out. It's a resident only lake/pond that I sneak into. Throwing a kayak on would piss people off and I'm sure getting thrown out once would ruin it forever.

Aren't you from Canada? Maybe I'm mistaken, but hell if you are close to the upper peninsula of Michigan, my family owns a square mile up there, with trout streams, ponds and my cousin has a sweet place on the pine river where it flows into lake Huron, with boats and shit we can use. We have a family campground on our property for rv's and primitive camping. We have a bathroom and an Artesian well on site as well as power.It's pretty bad ass, and free except for travel and food expenses, but lodging and the fishing spots are free.

15 hours drive
i'd almost be tempted if that spot is really good but as i said, no assistant mean no weekend off and no fishing
it's all good tho
i'm planning like 8 to 10 fishing trips of 3-4 days for next year..my boss better remember the 60 hours weeks i'm doing right now lol
