I keep changing lures after 10 or 15 casts without a strike until I find something they want to hit. Different conditions call for different lures, even in the same lake , in the same spot sometimes. Trout around here for example: Once the mayflies hatch, will rarely hit a worm, but before the mayflies hatch , that is about all they will eat is a worm.

putting fish in the same cooler as ur beers...is not a good idea

For sure, always separate. That would surely turn me off. I love fishing, but I don't eat much fish because to me they taste like they smell. I usually catch and release, or give my fish to someone who likes it. During Salmon season, I have a waiting list of people who want filets, everyone loves free salmon! The only fish I really eat is blue gills if they are fried in a good beer batter.

I very rarely fish for trout and have never done salmon. Mostly bass / catfish / sunnies and occasionally carp. I don't know many people that eat any of those. Personally I don't eat any seafood.

so it just make fishing a bit more fun
espicially when i go on a fishing trip..we bring good steak and shit but we also bring hamburger and hot dogs so replacing hot dog for some fresh fish is allway nice

We usually cook up a salmon by the river over a fire, I'll eat some if I have had enough beer, but that is the only way...lol
