And yet American football is hundreds of times more popular and has hundreds of times more revenue in one country than handball in every country combined.

although you didn't provide any numbers, this is a statement i would not even disagree with given that handball is not the #1 sport in most of the countries it's played in and especially considering how commercialised handegg is.
that (revenue), however, was never the point - it's rather a strawman you created because you realised you did not have a valid argument to refute mine...

i don't even know why you have to be so defensive in the first place. like i said before, it's perfectly ok if you don't know and don't care about handball. just claiming it's "weirder" or "less normal" than handegg, purely based on your own personal ignorance is somewhat questionable, that's all i ever said...

I never said anything about handball until you came in here shitting on American sports.

And then used irrelevant criteria (number of countries that care at all about it) to try to prove handball was a big deal and American football sucks, including the always pathetic "handegg" comment.

I happen to think handball is pretty cool. I also happen to think European snobs who don't understand how intricate and beautiful American football (or any other US-centric sport) is and shit on it are annoying as hell.

you might want to read the thread again, i was by no means "shitting on" american sports. i merely REPLIED to a comment about handball's "weirdness" that most europeans think the same about stickball or handegg...
when a fellow ignomerican of yours then made his uneducated point about people "dancing around" i again REPLIED with the european version of his views on YOUR sports...

also, i don't know where you got the idea that i wanted to prove that handegg was irrelevant as such, i'm well aware it's very much relevant in one of the biggest economies in this world, my point is that it's pretty much irrelevant in the rest of the world and that it's a uniquely ignorant and arrogant attitute to assume things YOU know and find normal (or don't know and find obscure) are just that in the rest of the civilised world...

yes they do. handball is a completely normal sport here and i don't know where you saw people "dancing around", handball is actually a pretty rough sport...
meanwhile stickball and handegg are just completely ridiculous and weird. handegg, the americanised version of rugby, with its fat fucks in plastic armours who need a break every 30 seconds might be somewhat "understandable" but stickball? believe me, it's at least as weird as handball is to you...

ok bud

p.s. handball is by definition "weirder" than American football because fewer people are familiar with it, kinda the whole point

ya it's brutal really. i consider myself a decent swimmer but i'm sure i'd drown in a pool with these guys... they are constantly pulling each other down, it's a bit of handball above the surface and wrestling below it... fascinating for sure but nothing i'd be eager to try out honestly...

ok indeed, bud - learn to read.
also, are you still claiming handball is more obscure than handegg just because it might generate less revenue or do you accept the fact, that it is considered a big sport in way more countries and that it was ignorant to assume it wasn't just because YOU weren't familiar with it?

sry, kid - that's just your perception. in pretty much the rest of the civilised world, handball is a bigger deal than handegg. but you strike me as the kind of guy who would never admit when he's wrong so i guess there's really no point arguing, i just leave you to your american ways and let you live in ignorance and arrogance...

Football actually has a pretty large presence in some of the Pacific islands, some interest in Mexico, and quite a bit of interest in and around Germany (they always crushed the competition in various Euro football leagues lol). Plus you have the U.S. and Canada, of course. It's definitely a growing sport, which makes sense considering you have a lot of money behind the sport to popularize it abroad.

/forgot Australia, although their rules are different

No, it is objectively more obscure than American football, by definition.
