Then what are you trying to say though?
The basics of skiing may be easier, but to be a good skiier is harder than to be a good snowboarder. Once you get the basics of snowboarding, all you do is do it faster and on steeper slopes, but if you can get down a slope on ski's you haven't even started yet.
spoken like somebody who knows absolutely nothing about snowboarding
Everything in skiing is easier, its just facts bro, I skied and competed in freestyle til i was 10 (could do 360, daffy, twister, all the ez tricks) and then picked up snowboarding. Never looked back. Ended up competing and making it to junior nationals ages 13-17 for halfpipe.
There is so much more than "the basics of snowboarding"... have you ever seen snowboard racers? you'll understand that theres a ton more to it than recklessly throwing yourself around like a ski racer. I think once you get the basics of skiing then there isnt much else for racing, atleast until your at d1 college teams... srsly bro, point skis down mountain.. keep knees bent... have some small ammount of balance... go 1000mph without ever falling
Freestyle skiing is easier because you can go faster on skiis, you can flat land from higher on skiis, and air awareness is easier because your not landing/popping sideways. Mastering freestyle snowboarding is not easier than mastering freestyle skiing, just more people choose to do it.
trust me bro, ive been all around the best skiers and snowboarders and i can faithfully say that skiing is waaay easier
