Simple as what? It had happened twice before. That was the 3rd time. You can't say something that has happened 3 times "never happens".

obviously, you dolt. It's a figure of speech.

I'm pretty sure I could argue for either side. I think they are both pretty equally bad of chokes.

And for the guys saying that it isnt close to being equal because giving up a 3-0 series lead has happened before, you need to remember that theres 4 rounds of playoffs * ~90 years of hockey history, so theres been A LOT more chances for teams to give up 3-0 series leads. There hasnt been even close to that many baseball seasons (and therefore having a team give up a 9 game lead or w/e it was)

Hockey fans would say bruins
Baseball would say sox

Both are equally as bad.
Blowing a 3-0 lead in the play offs in baseball or hockey is near impossible.

As what was said before in baseball teams go on losing streaks throughout the season.. The sox just happened to go through that streak at the end.

The yanks blowing the 3-0 to boston a couple years ago compares better to the bruins collapse

It's the play offs.. a 3-0 lead is never suppose to be lost.

7,8,9 game leads are always lost in baseball during the reg season.

It's hypotethically like that;

Boston Bruins had 3-0 series and 3-0 3rd period lead.

Boston Red Sox had 9-0 ''series'' lead.

Both are awful, so my vote is null, despite Red Sox blowing bigger lead, but in hockey, blowing 3-0 and 3-0 in-game lead is like... wtf

No, it's happened before. The Braves did it this year, teams have doen it befroe, just because it wasn't 9 games (But 8 or 8.5), and its happened a lot more often then losing after going up 3-0 in a series.

3 times in 70 years is never happening.

i get what you are trying to say
but im on the fence leaning towards the sox still though.

it wasnt 3-0 in the third period...

your the 2nd person to say that...
