how do you figure?

only thing that matters about stance is that it feels good for YOU

lol, this isn't a rental shop. With a wider stance you have more balance, can stomp landings better, pop higher, and look way better while doing everything.

and if you dont feel comfortable on it you wont be doing any of that

his stance is just fine

e/

also dont make up shit like more pop from wider stance to support a fail argument rofl

wide stance will add to stability yes, but it also makes initiating turns harder

but does nothing to affect pop or "looking better"

Doing everything to feel comfortable won't get you anywhere. If you're any good at snowboarding you'll have adapted to the wider stance within a couple runs and you'll wonder how you ever got on without it.

Currently riding a 159 cm Lamar board from a few years ago. Standard boots and bindings, nothing fancy.

I've been meaning to get a new board and attire for a while now, but just haven't seen any good deals enough for me (I'm pretty cheap :P).

I live in Chicago, so there's not many easily accessible places for me to just go, everything is 4+ hours away.
