best fishing trip ever
saturday was simply CRAZY
fish would bite to anything
cookie, your finger, your line with even a hook or a worm
it would bite your spool
u'd throw a worm in the water and 25 trouts would jump on it
WOW
we must have caught 40-50 trouts

even catching super small trout is fun with my rapala f2

i can't wait to go there again next year

Pickerel is in the pike family, but what they stock there is pickerel. Only reason it didn't go through the line is because when it pulled the jig it set the hook through its lip and the weed guard through its gill, so it couldn't bite the line. Nothing but luck that I landed it.

aaaa. we call walleye(american) pickerel

Hmm you must be from Canada? I never heard walleye called that before, I guess I learned my thing for today.

Alright, so my spinning setup is as follows now:

8' H Ugly Stick with a random reel with 65 lb braid - Catfish / Frog rod
7' MH Octane rod/reel with 30 lb brain - Heavy jigs / Crankbaits
6'6 M St Croix Mojo rod with Sahara 3000 and 10 lb braid - main rod - Soft plastics / light jigs / etc.
6' UL Inferno rod with random reel with 2 lb mono - Whenever I wanna mess around with sunnies / crappies
6' M Abu Garcia Vengeance with President reel and 12 lb braid - backup in case the Mojo or Sahara break

So I'm left with an Abu Garcia 6'6 M and unlined Daiwa Regal reel that I need a use for. I don't like the idea of having a second backup rod, so it's driving me crazy. I really don't do anything other than Bass / Catfish. Sometimes Carp, but I'll always just use the Ugly Stick for that. Been bothering the hell out of me to not have a use for this thing... Any ideas?

It's Spiderwire so I wouldn't buy it just based off that. If you want a line that's close to invisible, go with fused. Very similar to braid, just manufactured a little differently.

i just checked out the reviews and it's useless..
u still gotta use a leader and apparently the line is hard to cast
it's not as invisible as advertised
