tf is that .. this is why i stick to boston/cape cod fishing.. you only see those type of insects in the south and the middle of fucking no where ,,,, jesus christ..

all that bugs you here is mosquito .... other than that your good.

I forgot to take pictures of the first two bass this morning, but remembered for the rest. I've gotten into the habit of taking pictures of every fish I catch because each picture I upload is worth 1/4 of a credit on the fishhound site I use.

That looks/sounds miserable. I think if that happened to me, I'd have to go back with a lighter and an aerosol can.

Thats a Pike. pike will attack anything, they like jigs. lucky it didnt go through your flouro

Pickerel is in the pike family, but what they stock there is pickerel. Only reason it didn't go through the line is because when it pulled the jig it set the hook through its lip and the weed guard through its gill, so it couldn't bite the line. Nothing but luck that I landed it.

i'm planning on buying a fly fishing rod
redington crosswater
it has good reviews EVERYWHERE and it is so inexpensive
it is 119$ for a rod, reel, back up line and a line
i'd figure the rod is Worth about 50$ ...which is a really good thing considering how unlucky i've been with my rods

on another note i'm preparing my self to go for a 3 days fishing trip friday, i can't wait
2 more days to work then i'm gone

i'd like to buy the fly rod before i go there so i can see how much of a newbie i am
and i'm gonna try my rapala finesse rod, let's hope i don't break this one the first day too
