I've gone through three this year. One was a cheap ultralight that fell off a kayak and sank. Old two piece from like four years ago snapped at the connection. Ugly stick broke a tip off as I was tying a knot. That one was under warranty though. No worse feeling that breaking a rod regardless of price.
Especially when you have a big fish on that your trying to land. I had mine break about 3 eyes up when I had a salmon hooked on the Pierre Marquette river, what a bitch that was, I got the fish because I had 50 lb test spider wire on, other wise I dont think I could have horsed a big fish like that in.

worst god damn day of fishing I've ever had
first I couldn't get a fish hooked even tho I've got like 57 bites in the first 2 hours
fish were eating, jumping all around the place and they'd be 2-3 to bite my lure but they wouldn't get hooked
then the tip of my aetos went flying in the air and landed on a rock(I have a 2 pieces rod)
It sinked to the bottom
I thought it was either broken or I just lost it in the lake
I was lucky, it was still there and didn't have any damage
I kept fishing and after another 154 bites, not a single hook
I pack my stuff and as i'm putting everything back in the trunk
the case in which I put my aetos was stuck(at least it what I thought at the moment) so I just pull it a bit to get it unstuck
big mistake, the tip of my rod was out the case so as I pulled, it broke
170$ rod gone my god..
i'm fucking unlucky
I broke my shift a month ago..i got a replacement
before that, a 200$ rod sinked to the bottom
and now I break this rod..
wonder if i'll be able to get a replacement
we'll see
i'm fucking pissed
Man, another one, damn son, you have had nothing but bad luck. I would tell you to sharpen your hooks, but that might be dangerous.
