Why don't you like the 250?
I was told to get the 2nd gen if I get one.
I want something with 12+1 or more clip size.
I'm thinking maybe just a compact, under 7.3", 9mm.
The one thing I like about the 250 is you can change almost everything on it.

I've heard of many reliability issues and have experienced some of it.
After the take over of the company, the quality control has been terrible and the most famous/reliable gun's reputation has been damaged
You are better off getting dedicated purpose handguns rather than switching purposes on the same model
Stay away from all sigs besides the 226 and p938/p238. Since those have the least known issues but are top dollar
I have the mp9 shield for subcompact and glock 19 for compact. Both cost around the same as the 250 and anyone with gun knowledge will tell you those two will outlast, outshoot, and are higher value than the p250

I was looking at both the LC9 and M&P Shield and like both of em.
Not sure though, I wish the clip size was bigger.

You don't need more than 5 shots for a bad guy
Heavy practice comes after a purchase of a gun

But if you really want a higher capacity
S&W also has a thicker subcompact model of the m&P Shield called M&P9c.
It's the same size as the shield but a little thicker, has 12+1 round capacity, and a longer barrel for better accuracy.

For everything you specifically asked for, I'd put the M&P9c at the top of your list.
If you're interested and set on it, I can point you to a couple of sites where you can find them at a REALLY good price and tell you what accessories you can get to make that firearm 200 times nicer than it already is

Trying to avoid that if possible.
I know if I do order online it will be sent to a dealer and I'll pick it up there after tests etc.

It's the same process as buying it from a dealer but you just have to wait for it to ship
You can save over $100 buying online when there are sweet deals though
If you don't mind paying the extra dough you can buy it at academy for $499 or $529

I keep going bank and forth.
I like the LC9 but I also like the LCP.
I know if I get the .380 my gf will want one.
So I'm thinking between these two, I like them both but have only shot the .380.

Lc9 is good too
Reliable and actually softer than it should be for a subcompact
I'm not a fan of those pocket pistols cause it's not comfortable yo hold or shoot and that makes me inaccurate with them. Not to mention you're absorbing a lot of recoil due to the weight and size of the gun

I would go to a range and try em both out and see which one feels best for you. What you like and I like could be totally different. Odds are one gun will feel better than the other to you, and if not, then you can decide by features that are different, but I would shoot it at a gun shop first before buying one online for sure. Especially without ever even holding that model in my hand.
