I used to have a sponsor by a shop, like 7 years ago lol. I quit skating for like 6 years after the shop closed (not because of that reason).
To answer your question though I just bought 10 blank boards for 115 bucks. I can skate them just as good as any brand deck and they last me twice as long. The last 10 lasted me like 12 months of skating 10+ hours per week.
I break boards a lot unfortunately.
I just looked at the tracking and shit they aren't coming until august 4th.
I gotta skate this board easy or I'm going to have to buy a placeholder

I've got a wicked heavy right foot when landing switch and tend to snap tails often.
Been skating over roughly 12 years - took a break and went back to it after four years off this summer. Was good times hitting the parks, with my four year old son bahaha. Still good enough to play a good game of skate with the youngin's.
Favorite tricks I can still nail;
Nollie frontside big spins (They look steezed)
Fakie Big Flips (three flip with a half cab)
Inward heels
Tre-flips all day long.
What I can't do worth shit anymore.
Anything switch winds up with me on my ass.
Pop manny ledges (I can't pop as high as I used too - maybe three decks of a ledge and that's pushing it)
Favorite skaters - Koston and Mullen were my influences. I could never have the skills of mullen, but his sessions were hypnotic in how perfect every transition went. The founder of tech tricks is what got me. I looked up to him to practice setup because watching him you found that the trick was a product of your own readiness.
Koston made tech tricks possible on a street application, with such a clean style to boot. I remember trying shuv-it reverts for like a month when people thought it was the dumbest looking trick ever. Suddenly everyone was tweaking kick flips with small manny reverts up ledges. Was good times
Chris Cole was nuts too - but he was very much a balls to the wall skater - you don't try his shit unless you want to break some bones.
Strange things about my skating?
I ride mongo - Stand regular push goofy footed.
I figured out how to varial months before I could kickflip. The damn board would always land too far ahead when I'd try kickflips - so I learned varials in every way I could.
Shit that terrifies me.
Vert. Period. I can deal with drop in, rock to fakie but that's about it. My mind doesn't do well with feeling like I'm going to faceplant.
Rails
Seen way to many people eat shit on a rail to do anything but small skatepark rails. I'll never try one on a set, just clear the set.
