you say this like theres something skiers can do that snowboarders cant?

and what do you mean all you do is do it faster and on steeper slopes lol? thats more like what skiers do, snowboarders usually go into park or pipe and are usually the only ones doing anything technical in either of those areas. sure skiers have the advantage on moguls and slalom, but lmfao who the fuck cares about moguls or slalom. other than that im not sure what you think skiers do that is so much harder than what snowboarders do ''after the basics''

feel free to explain to me your ideas on what skiers do after the basics that are so much harder than what snowboarders can do.

I think I might have a way to tell you..

Skiing - It's easier to get started, so it's more accessible but getting down a slope is not the hardest part, it's in perfecting your technique.
Snowboarding - Difficult and often painful to start with but once you know how to make turns you will improve quickly

skiing is a great way to build your balance for snowboarding. I picked up snowboarding almost instantly after about 10 years of skiing.

Opinions?

Some guys are like: Skiing IS way easier obviously

When that's not true, clearly I'll reply  -_-

It is way easier imo. Sure there is ALWAYS room for improvement or to "perfect" your technique, but skiing is just so natural that feel like every one can do it and there isn't much to it

Not saying one is better than the other when both obviously have their pros/cons but its pretty unanimous that skiing is easier...

Snowboarding. I skiied for a couple years when I was younger then picked up snowboarding after a few years away from the slopes. I enjoy snowboarding so much more than i ever did skiing. I like skiing but I never even thought of going back after my first day on a board despite falling all over the place most of the day.

Also, another plus for Snowboarding is its easier on your knees and there's less chance of a horrific leg/ankle injury.

Learning to ski is easier than learning to snowboard, but imo mastering skiing is harder than mastering snowboarding trick-wise. And in the end it's a matter of opinion, I find both cool in a different way.

Oh and I dno about injuries, imo they can both be equally dangerous, it completely depends on the situation so you can't generalise
