Therefore, the baseball collapse was more infrequent than the hockey collapse.
No, it's happened before. The Braves did it this year, teams have doen it befroe, just because it wasn't 9 games (But 8 or 8.5), and its happened a lot more often then losing after going up 3-0 in a series.
