First time anyone blew a 9 game lead in September. How is that so hard for you to understand? Each post you make only serves as evidence you are not able to understand anything in this conversation making your points useless...

That's trivial. It's happened before, it happens infrequnty but it's happened more times than coming back from a 3-0 defecit. 8.5 games or 8 games even 7 isn't much diffrent from 9 games.

I'm gonna say red sox for two reasons:
1) they were heralded as "the best team ever?" at one point this season, making this choke even more impressive.
2) the sox were a lock to make the playoffs. Companies were actually buying ad space for the red sox playoffs, that's how big of a lock they were (see hilarious link below). The Bruins were never a lock to win their series until they went up 3-0, and even then everyone knows that a playoff series isn't over till its over.

But I think the bruins blunder was more outrageous because it happened deep in the playoffs and its also statistically ridiculous. Blowing a 3-0 lead to lose a series simply never happens in hockey, simple as that.

omg man, are u daft?

The smaller the amount of games remaining in the season, the more unlikely the comeback is. Never before in baseball has a lead that large (9 games) been lost with that short a time (1 month) remaining in the season. Not once before this year. This year is the one and only time it has happened.

3-0 leads have been overcome 3 times in Hockey.

1 is a lower number than 3.

Therefore, the baseball collapse was more infrequent than the hockey collapse.

Simple as what? It had happened twice before. That was the 3rd time. You can't say something that has happened 3 times "never happens".

No, it's happened before. The Braves did it this year, teams have doen it befroe, just because it wasn't 9 games (But 8 or 8.5), and its happened a lot more often then losing after going up 3-0 in a series.
