you  know nothing about the sport clearly. And if you think there's no risk of injury, then why are there so many injuries in the nfl?

The reason american football is only popular in north america is because you need money to play it, most people around the world can't afford the helmet and pads so they just play soccer and rugby.
as a sport it is far superior though, you're just too poor to play it.

no nothing about sport? i watch almost every sport including the nfl and i follow almost every sport pretty strongly, unlike u who most likely follows just ur american sports like nfl nhl nd mlb yet have neva heard of sports the rest of the world plays.

u think money is an issue in australia? we arent a third world country and we most likely have a higher minimum/average wage, and the nfl is full of african americans and hey if i believed anything the media told me theyd all be to poor to buy pads. unless im mistaken and it costs billions for some pads and a helmet the cost difference is minimal at best, people in league have to buy all the other stuff, and compression shorts are also very common which u guys dont wear cause ur all on roids and can fit ur package in those sexy pants.

the NRL in Australia produces the best atheletes in the world, thats why when a medicore league player goes to union they make the national teams with ease, yet when a promosing union player comes to league they dont even make 1st grade.

rugby(usually union is refered to as rugby) isnt rugby league (what this topic is about) and soccer isnt what this topic is about either this topic is about rugby league.

Actually it's simply because Americans are the only ones who have large crowds of people who actually don't care at all for sportmanship and just watch sports for entertainment. Sure, American football is entertainment. But a real sport? Nah. American Football fans are by far not as passionate about it as European football fans for example.

In tennis ?

Oh I'm excited. All the big names are entering! After the ATP of London which Federer took everything is possible again! It's definately a huge victory for Federer to get his confidence back up and prove that he can still win big titles. As you see I'm hoping for Federer but I think Nadal is also a realistic choice. Also I'm really hoping to see Del Potro back this year! He had some pretty bad timing for his injuries this year after his great vicotory at the US Open.

As for the women's tournament it's just like it has been for the past few years: anyone can take it! Women's tennis needs a new superstar! There have been about 10 different players ranked #1 in 2 years which is crazy. I think Wozniacki or Clijsters are the obvious choices, but there are always dangerous outsiders like Henin or the Williams sister(s) (I think Serena is not entering).

My winners:

Men's Singles: Federer or Nadal is 50/50 but I say Federer because he's strong on hardcourt
Women's Singles: Clijsters!
