i've started to dabble in parkour myself.

Long time martial artist now engaging the free running/parkour scene

any good sources for gym training ideas? I have access to the mats and the gym to practice more dangerous moves.

Also anyone have any good youtube channel (tutorialwise) suggestions?

Nice man, most people who get into pk/freerunning don't have any kind of background really so have a MA background should help you a bit maybe in coordination etc.

I'd say try the parkour basics first imo
Side Vault (aka Step vault/Safety Vault)
Monkey Vault (up onto a block/ledge, then once you get onto it a couple times try going right over it)
Lazy Vault
Reverse Vault (aka 360 vault)

and if your looking mainly for flips/tricks some cool fun safe/kinda basic would be
Palm Spin
Wall Spin (pretty much on a wall instead of corner of a block ^)

Front tuck / Back tuck / Side tuck would be the basic flips.

Front flip is easy to toss sometimes its just a little tricky to get a nice landing at first
back flip is probably the scariest to try at first for most ppl but once you get it it's not that bad
side flip is prbly the safest flip IMO (my fav flip ahah)

as for videos, try "Ronnie Street Stunts" videos or "LaFlairParkour" Videos

What kind of martial artist? I've been kick boxing and rolling since i was pretty young.

BJJ that is. No GI though....

can't really justify this parkour shit. Need to save my knees lol
