Please tell me you're joking. 50# test is pretty fucking crazy.
I use 20# test in my ocean salmon pole and I feel that it's a bit much.
It's the same diameter as 12 lb mono. Prevents those backlash es that dig into themselves. I've tried 20 and 30# test and the backlash just digs in so bad you fuck yourself. With 50 I ha e no fear of pitching into any brush pile and being able to pull a fish out and no worries about a backlash so bad I cannot get it out without cutting it.

yeah 50 lbs test is massive overkill for bass...
I use 8 lb test for bass fishing (mono). I do have a few break me off but only because they dive into heavy cover/weeds/lilly pads/brush etc.
Though, Braided line is much stronger per diameter compared to other lines though, so 50 lbs braid is the equivalent of using like 12 lb test mono line.
iiTzChunky if I were you I would decrease the size of your braided line to 20 lb or 30 lb, you'll be able to cast even farther and you'll probably see your catch rate go up.
The 30# I used just bit into itself so hard I couldn't get it out so I ended up throwing it on another reel. I'll probably dial it back to 40# after I get the feel for it, just started using braid about a month ago.
