whats the advantage of reverse camber

1. BETTER FOR POWDER
One key advantage to reverse camber and rocker designs is flotation on the snow, providing a smoother ride. With the nose and tail curved up slightly instead of down, a snowboard floats more smoothly over powder, like a boat on water.

2. GREAT FOR BEGINNERS
The shape of the rocker board makes it easier to transition from toe to heel side so it is an ideal board for beginners. Since these boards decrease the amount of friction between your board and the snow, you are less likely to catch an edge and it is easier to control your board.

3. MORE POP FOR PARK
When used in parks, reverse camber's raised edges help out on rails and boxes. The shape of the board also gives the rider more pop for ollies and jumps.

4. GREAT HANDLING ON ICE
Because of the shape and ease of toe-to-heel transition, the rocker shape is better on ice and holds a better edge on hardpacked snow.

ah yeah ive been looking into the types of boards and reverse camber seems like a big plus, supposibly the main downside is its worse turn capacity but supposibly the sierra reverse crew handles it all well

that is the board i will probably aim for next season

although i agree with the first 3..that last point is not always the case. the contact points are further towards the tips so its harder to get an edge for harder carving. my board was loose. it could be my size board is a little off and i should have gone with a 163 but i really had to dig in to get a good edge hold, at least with the burton joystick
