I have a trout stream running through my back yard maybe 200 feet from the house. The rouge river runs through the 2 square mile block of state land across the street from me, and there are 3 lakes within a couple of miles. You need to come north my knicker, especially this fall. End september, beginning of october is usually a really good time for Salmon.

I usually come up there a bit for hunting season. Baldwin specifically. Gotta get my SKS on of course.

I could probably do that James,I don't know how long it would stay fresh.. Maybe if I smoked some and vacuum sealed it. I have never sent it in the mail before. I don't eat them, I usually have about 4-5 people who I give it to every year, a couple of them trade me elk or bear meat for it.

yeah i got a couple of those too, I bought an ultra light one like 5'3 last year for pan fish, its fun as hell with a big gill or crappie makes it a challenge to not just horse em in the boat, usually lose bass on it, since I only use 3 lb test on it. Thinking about getting a little 10 ft flat bottom john boat for some small pond/ lake fishing, good for small streams too, and its easy for me to handle in and out of water or dragging it around downed trees in the river. My 17 foot canoe is heavy as fuck for 1 guy. Edit, got that rod and reel $110 off for $150, it was $259.99, helluva deal. I paid $400 for my scott A4 fly rod alone, without a reel.

Another reason I don't fly fish much. Too expensive for someone who don't even eat salmon or trout. I'd have to look at my stick to see what size it is but I did catch that bass on it, albeit he put up a big fight.

Yeah it sure pissed me off last time a $300 rod broke, my fucking buddy stepped on it....... a lot cheaper to replace an ugly stick.
If you come salmon fishing, we will bring ugly sticks and tight line for em. I like either way. Most of the fly sections are catch and release only, I want to hook my friends up with some free fish, so I always go to the heavy tackle sections too. It's just fun with a fly rod to get a 30 lb fish on 12 lb test and try to bring em in.
Edit: I'll even take you old school methods, not to be divulged in public that can be used against me in a court of law...LOL

Lol I'll let you know next time I'm up on that area. It could be soon because my Grandpa was talking about wanting me to come up with him to help him with some shit on his property in Baldwin. I'm sure we'll end up fishing a bit. How far do you live from Baldwin? I forgot.
