Lance admitted what we already knew, yet the fans will all watch a bunch of PED-using cyclists compete in the next Tour de France. Nothing has been gained by this.



The amount of effort he went to to protect his lie is merely a function of the amount of effort others put in trying to discover his lie. If as much time and money had been spent going after any other cyclist who had as much to lose as he had, they would have been smart to put the same effort protecting it as he did.

Again, it all comes down to the fact that he was competing on even footing with all the other dope-cyclists yet the agencies investigated him more.

Is it really that bad he shouldnt have to pay back money because lets think about this who would argue he is not the best no one would because everyone doped and he was the best of the dopers so lets say he didnt dope and everyone else did he would lose and that would be unfair so if no one cheated he would have won anyways so why does it matter besides the fact he threatened so many people.

no. he even lied in this interview.
he said he didn't take anything illegal during his comeback. usada has proof he did.
he said he didn't try to bribe the usada. travis tygart and terry madden both say he did.



wow. what a retarded argument. even if everybody was doping (which is an exaggeration although there were certainly way too many) it would still be wrong. and being the best amongst cheaters doesn't mean you would have been the best if no one cheated. because there are many ways and methods of cheating and also some people gain greater advantages from doping than others. what you're saying is like they all cheated by driving half way by car while one had a porsche and the other one a hyundai...
how can anyone claim he's the best? sure, he's certainly not the only cheater but there were some clean cyclists in his time who had no chance against armstrong, landis, pantani, ullrich, vinokourov - but who knows, maybe some of them would have been the dominators in a clean sport?
the level of professionalism in terms of doping in armstrong's team was definitely higher than in any other team. insiders know that.

I dont care if he is an american has nothing to do with being american who watches cycling now? No one why Lance Armstrong was cycling he was the sport he made them so much money from all the fans watching and out of all the other cheaters they could have went after they chose to go after him because he was the best. Also he didnt dope in the last 2 tours and he did amazing at his AGE so there is no dought in my mind that he would have won all 7. The times were much better with all the doping which made the sport exciting to watch. Why dont they give the tour cup to someone else oh wait theyde have to go to like 120th place dang not everyone doped the crappy people that no one would ever watch didnt good for them look what they get no publicity no money and after everyone quit doping they still suck dang man. How does any of that dispute what I just said? I understand that he did all those things you just said. All those things he did was because he knew people were making efforts to go after him and he had a lot to lose if they were successful.

I still retain my claim that Armstrong did nothing to give himself an advantage over the other dope-cyclists he was racing against.



I am not making excuses for him. I am upset at the fact that his competition was not investigated to the same extent that he was. If they would just make it fair and go after everyone the same amount, we would have a true perspective of the significance of his accomplishments.
