Just got back from our trip to Grand Isle, was a pretty good fishing trip. First few days we didn't get much action, we had to fish around rain and hardly got any bites. 4th day we tried at the mouth of the bay and found a few speckled trout, we caught about 30 between 3 of us but only had 12 keepers.

The next day we tried fishing for bull reds and black drum using some blue crabs carolina rigged as bait that we had in some traps we set. We had some pretty good luck the first night, we caught 3 bull reds the first night and 1 drum and 3 bull reds and 5 drum the next night. Most of the drum were 30-35 inches, too big to keep. But we did manage to get 2 small enough to keep. Most of the bull reds were 30-37 inches, biggest was caught by me 43 inches.

On the way, almost there.

First bull red of the trip this one was 36 inches, but up a good fight. Took about 10 mins to get in the net.

woah
I'm jelly lol
I have a very expensive heavy rod that could see some action with that kind of fish

I came back yesterday 10 pm from a fishing trip up north with my step bro
we didn't catch any monster, just small pikes and regular brookies but I was using my finesse rod so it was still amazing

I have been lazy, but heres a couple pictures I took before and after the paint job on the boat. 16 ft smokercraft with a 25 horse evinrude, I thought it was a 15 what it said on craigslist ad but was happy to find a 25 on it.

My truck was broke down so I had my aluminum brake in the boat, and had to use the wife's SUV to haul it to a job site ( I did go fishing after work since I'm doing a house on a lake)...lol

Caught a nice 11 inch perch and a few bluegills/sunfish for the frying pan.

Thanks, nothing 4 cans of rustoleum couldn't take care of...lol
I went up to my salmon spot this weekend with Kouhiko@jsp and his brother and camped to check if they were running yet, and didn't see a thing. They are coming back up in a month to camp for a weekend again.
I was messing with phone settings to do a panoramic shot

We have been dedicated to the pursuit of happiness, also known as fishing. My new waders came in today, and I got a new bas ass 4x4 truck to take out into the deep woods for my salmon camping trip next month. It's all coming together.
