it was an awesome trip overall

deslouise doesn't like rhum

drunk searching for wood to burn at 1 am was awesome

shore lunch on a beach was real cool too

pikes were really small
deslouise caught a nice walleye

craziest lake I've fished for years
we were in a few inches of water in the middle of the lake and then at 3 feet of the shore, there would be 30 feet of water

deslouise has most of the pic, mainly of the fish we caught iirc

Here's a few pics the lake:

the walleye

All the fish we caught were kinda skinny, seems like they dont eat a whole lot, that walleye had a huge head wherehas the rest of its body was small. It was probably about 20 inches, usually it would weigh in at about 2.5 /3 pounds, this one wasn't north of 2. All the pikes we caught had the same problem. Thaught it was weird.

I was supose to go fish up north monday, I couldn't
I was supose to leave the next morning, it was impossible

I went fishing around montreal with my buddy instead

my legs and hands got raped by fences/rocks/etc

it was worth it tho
I found a few new spots and a couple hard to reach spots

it could be translated to;
beware, this area may get flooded at any time

Just got back from our trip to Grand Isle, was a pretty good fishing trip. First few days we didn't get much action, we had to fish around rain and hardly got any bites. 4th day we tried at the mouth of the bay and found a few speckled trout, we caught about 30 between 3 of us but only had 12 keepers.

The next day we tried fishing for bull reds and black drum using some blue crabs carolina rigged as bait that we had in some traps we set. We had some pretty good luck the first night, we caught 3 bull reds the first night and 1 drum and 3 bull reds and 5 drum the next night. Most of the drum were 30-35 inches, too big to keep. But we did manage to get 2 small enough to keep. Most of the bull reds were 30-37 inches, biggest was caught by me 43 inches.

On the way, almost there.

First bull red of the trip this one was 36 inches, but up a good fight. Took about 10 mins to get in the net.

The biggest of the trip, 43 inches.
