Got back from what was possibly one of my last das of fishing for this year. took 2 solid 18 inch walleyes, and girlfriend caught a 5-6 pounder northern pike. Also several good sized perch, fed my whole family a meal, was delicious.

I caught a little rock bass about the size of my hand on a fake crayfish on Sunday on my float trip and that was it, but it was a beautiful day on the river and saw plenty of bikinis on tubes going by.

Some kid that caught one fish was trying to show me how to fish properly
In his opinion a worm..a hook and a bobber was the only way to go


then i caught 6 bass in a row while he got nothing

He will learn haha...dont get too cocky for just one fish...the fishing god will punish you...i once did it with my friend and he caught like 8 pikes in a row while i could only bring grass back

sometimes is even adults that think they<re the gods of fishing when they fish for bass using a big spoon and a leader...

This way they dont break your line they say..

I brought back 4 complete rigs from the bottom today

All used big ass steel leaders...when the biggest fish you could get at that spot is like a 7-8 pounds pike

I think i could tow my car on neutral with that leader
It is even bigger then the one i would use for a 20 pounds pike and even then i would make sure to use my 100 pounds fluorocaron befoe that

haha sums up my point pretty good. All they caught was the bottom and hey could never break the line.
