really shocking game 6 today. let's see if anand can recover from this, i doubt it but the day off might help a bit.
still, magnus has a huge advantage (1 point up, white pieces for game 7 and psychologically of course)...

wasnt he white game 6, is it flipping for the next 7?

after an even number of games, you still play white/black the same amount of times.
since anand played white in game 1, he's playing black twice in a row (game 7)

that being said, game 2 (in which anand used the berlin variation) was a win for white while game 4 (sicilian) ended in a draw...

the berlin was still boring. just won by blunder.

carlsen being carlsen. a strange and also a little unfortunate decision to decline the draw and play it out for so long.

all the indian fans and experts were outraged and some said carlsen was unworthy of the title and will never be a great champion.
but i think they are just mad because they know anand won't beat him.

and part of carlsen's decision is definitely anands fault as he has proven to be quite error prone under pressure vs. carlsen in the past. still, not drawing that endgame with so few pieces was very unlikely...

grinding the endgame while there were still pawns was perfectly valid. but RN vs R was a bit overboard. i saw the tweets and lol'd at their outrage. i was half expecting anand to fall for a fork and shut everyone up by justifying the grind.

can you tell me the times of the matches? I've had to watch replays all but 1 game.
