Why are you set on getting .380
There are handguns the same size as the .380's that are in 9mm
A much better round

Stay away from the p250 or any sig that has made in exeter mark on it
German marked are good to go but those are the full-size 226, 220, 229's
So far the one's Ive seen with the least amount of problems are the p238 and p938

PPk/s is overpriced and I can only see someone get it as nostalgia. If you like the size/look, the Bersa Thunder .380 looks exactly like it and is just as reliable
I would personally recommend for subcompact(through hands-on experience) M&P Shield, M&P Compact, XDS-9/45, XDS-9/45 4.0, Walther PPS 9mm/40sw, Glock 26/27/36/42,Ruger LC9, and Beretta PX4sc. These all have good ergonomics and have never failed on me.

I myself carry a Glock 19 and for me with the right holster is the perfect size. It's compact and not subcompact but it fits fine. High capacity, long sight radius, lightweight, double action trigger, crisp reset, aftermarket parts availability etc.

You don't need an AR in your car
The most you need is a shotgun and even that is going a bit far
All you need is your sidearm and plenty of practice
Unless you plan on taking on an army or gang/mob, having a gun in your car and not on you just means there's a chance you'll lose your firearm also if your car gets broken into.
Your sidearm should be on you and not in your car(get your CHL before you decide to carry guns anywhere for self defense)

You don't know what someone will need for defense. Maybe in your situation a .9mm is fine, maybe a .380 with hollow points is good enough for him. A .9mm isn't going to drop a bear or a wolf or mountain lion charging you unless you get a good hit on it, and those animals live in the same woods I do. I also carry thousands in cash on me on a regular basis, and people have been car jacked leaving dispensaries around here. I'm also a potential target working at a pawn shop alone, people think you have millions to deposit it seems, or at least enough money to be worth stealing the deposit at the end of the day.. I would say 95% of the time I carry a side arm, usually a 6 shot revolver in a .357 or .44 and when I do have something worth taking with me, I have the AR out and on the passengers seat. I prefer not to be a victim. As far as breaking into my vehicle, good luck with that. I have perimeter security at my home, guard dogs, and motion sensor lighting. It's always quiet out here, hell a deer can rarely make it through the yard without my dogs barking, so I'm not too worried about that. I park in a secure facility at work, so basically the only time my vehicle is at risk is when I'm just out running errands or whatever. Like I said in my other post, I would rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

Yea, I might check out a few gun shows then.
What you got in stock handgun wise in compact/sub 9mm?

I don't buy or sell guns at the pawn shop. Too much red tape and inspections and just general bullshit involved paper work wise. I have bought them after hours as a private individual, but stuff I buy for me, I don't usually sell because I'm a hoarder/pack rat type. I try not to get rid of anything if I can help it. You never know when you are going to need it. I also try to buy 2 or 3 of everything if I can afford it so I have a back up.I wish I had more storage space at home, and I would buy more shit, but I don't want to cut anymore trees close to the house to build a pole barn. I'll wait until my daughter graduates and then when we sell I'll build the barn I have always wanted at our new place.

Ok while all of that might apply to you
I doubt any of those will apply to him
I am talking about practicality for an average American
Not people who live in the woods in the middle of lions, bears, and wolves.

My buddy Jon that I trade clones and strains with got robbed at gunpoint at his house by 3 guys. He went out to start his truck for work at 5:30 am and they pistol whipped him from behind and him and forced him back into the house. Then they beat his ass, took his money and pot and all the grow equipment they could get in the vehicle and left. I live way out in the middle of nowhere and all it would take is someone to follow me home from my store or a drop off to a dispensary to know where I live, and try to set up an ambush or home invasion. I have to be able to protect myself and my property, because 30 minutes is a long time to wait for police to show up. I don't let many people even know where I live aside from family and close friends. None of my patients have ever even been to my house except for one who has been a friend for 30 years. I do this in order to keep them from telling someone else and having them try to rob me, not because I don't trust my patients, but it's just easier for me and safer for my family for me to do deliveries. I have the same camera/DVR setup at home that I do in the pawn shop, with remote access/alarm from my iphone, and 8 cameras with motion detection and infrared. I have a driveway alarm that chimes in the house, and that's the only way into my property with a vehicle bigger than a 4 wheeler that could go through the woods without walking about 3/8 of a mile, because that's how far off the road my house sits. I even have a few homemade booby traps set up, and a few caches around in case I get caught outside and can't immediately access the house. I got extra cautious after that happened to Jon, it's better to be as prepared as you can in my opinion. My wife thinks I'm just a crazy bastard. I say there is no such thing as overkill.

Ok.....
I don't know how this has anything to do with what I said
I never denied or questioned why you do what you do or why you need to do it
I basically just stated that the OP most likely doesn't live your life or your type of life so he doesn't have your requirements
I gave him suggestions based off of an average American that doesn't deal drugs and runs into mountain lions, bears, and wolves.
He asked for suggestions/recommendations and that's what I gave him

I want a SC, and the only ones I've shot are .380.
Not he'll bent on just that caliber, I like the 9mm.
I like the Beretta PX4 Storm.
The only reason I want a .380 is that it is small and concealable.

Beretta px4 is nice and reliable but keep in mind that it's a double/single action with a initial trigger pull of 10lbs+ and a protruding external hammer. That 10 pound trigger makes a world of difference when it comes to accuracy and that hammer can snag on clothes. All factors to consider but nothing practice can't fix.
Pick what you're comfortable with, consider all factors, and practice till you overcome the cons.

If you want that small, lc9 and p938 and xds are sc size in 9mm

I usually have around 200 rounds of ammo too including full metal jacket, armor piercing as well as regular soft hunting rounds, and that's just one of the goodies. I have so much stuff it's ridiculous, but it's better to have it and not use it, than need it and not have it. I usually have a pit bull in my truck too unless I'm going to or from work. But I am a licensed medical marijuana caregiver and can ride around with almost a pound of weed,(and sometimes I do if I'm taking it to sell to a dispensary) and people try to rob your house or car if they know you have shit. It's a sad world but it's the one we live in. You think that's something, you should see all the shit I have at my house... The guys on tiny chat freaked out when I showed how many guns and knives I could reach right from my computer chair...lol

Why don't you like the 250?
I was told to get the 2nd gen if I get one.
I want something with 12+1 or more clip size.
I'm thinking maybe just a compact, under 7.3", 9mm.
The one thing I like about the 250 is you can change almost everything on it.
