if it's black it's probably braid line which is a good overall line but u may want to use a fluorocarbon leader...it will help you catch more fish

you don't have to worry about colors if you're on a boat

I swear fish can hear you...everytime we had a friend who was talking too much, we barely catch any fish and when we left the fucker at home, we catched alot more fish

Chances are if he's talking too much, he's making a lot of subtle movements that'll shake the boat just enough that you don't really notice it, but enough to create vibrations in the water that the fish can sense. Certain species are bothered by it more than others - same with certain methods (trolling vs fishing shallow outlets, etc).

Not sure how much of a difference colors can make on a boat - I tend to wear blue anyway unless it's cloudy.

Trout in a stream are the hardest fish to catch imo. Around here they are skittish, you have to walk softly on the bank, and cast lightly or they wont bite. I would suggest going for something easier for your first time fishing , something like panfish, so you don't get discouraged.

Catching trout here is super easy

Here you have to be sneaky. They do like leaf worms though, and mayflies when they hatch you can catch em on a dry fly top water, if you have something that looks like the hatch that year.

the hard part is finding them then you are good to catch one every 2-3 cast

a little update:

Went fishing last thursday in a local pond. Caught 5 rainbow trouts in 45 minutes and had to leave early due to fishing limitations 2 pr. hour. (I paid for 2 hours)

Went again yesterday with a friend and we caught one each. This was my biggest catch ever :) After I had gutted it and cut off the head it weighed in a 2kg.

This was with a bombarda.
