What I mean is, we are far to easy on criminals, murders, repeat offenders, etc. I personally feel, serial killers should be tortured when caught. Why be "humane" with a person who wasn't humane with their victims? That's just an example of what I mean. I think, we as a people are way to f***ing soft. Say a celebrity dies. They post it all over the news, saying how its a tragedy, how it's all sad and everything, as if we are supposed to care. WHy can't they say "x died" and leave it at that?
More to it, not with just what penalties are. People just aren't as strong as they should be. We shouldn't be worrying about things like being "civilized" or "politically correct" in MANY situations, but people are.
no , punishments should be lessened. if a person commits a crime, and goes to jail, lets say you go to jail for fighting with someone, 1 month or even up to a year in jail. do you know how long a year in jail is? you know what that can do to someones mental stability? and our judges suck at sentencing, they dont take everything into consideration, their just there to look good and get paid. they can be biased as fuck sometimes, so your basically saying up the punishments for people who are even in there for no reason really.
i understand if it was like discombobulating someone or torturing them before death. thats inhumane, but if it was an accident or an act of rage because of something the other person is guilty of then the other persons crime towards the current victim should be taken into account and subtracted from the current.
take example bradley manning, this kid is being locked up and humiliated and mentally fucked everyday but the us goverment , just because he put some data on a disc. and the data was only to see what his goverment was really doing to people. he was doing the right thing and he's a victim of the NDAA act wich president obama made sure was passed so no one could oppose him in slightly any way, with this law he has the power to DETAIN ANY PERSON WITHOUT TRIAL, AND STRIP THEM OF THEIR RIGHTS.
