well "no teams" was never my point. golf, swimming and tennis also have no teams but they're still sports. hunting however has no competition between 2 or more sides who CHOSE to participate and have equal chances of winning.
and since you're so comfortable with calling people ignorant here are some examples of ignorance:
- saying "it's considered a sport by some so it is one" without even thinking about what "sport" actually is.
- assuming people who don't agree with you "don't understad" what you're talking about.
oh well, i have to admit i didn't look at it that way since this thread was posted in the sports subforum. see, coming from a 1st world country i just didn't consider the possibility of people who obviously have access to the internet, having to hunt animals to put food on the table.
you see, hunting for that reason is completely acceptable and i'd never say it's not fair or anything, that was just a remark for those who consider it a sport...
lol bro people who dont eat what they kill or donate what they kill or reuse the left overs for baiting other animals should be hunted imo.
but the whole sports thing to each is their own .... but i know i have to go to sporting good to buy my ammo and other hunting related items. just sayin
here is what i assume majority of people dont understand hunting/trapping animals such as but not limited to Coyotes, bobcats, Raccoon, Wolves, fox and mountain lions because you dont not eat them (Some do eat coon such as my self) or any other reason many of ppl disagree with hunting.
but These animals and many more are over populated and dont have enough room for them to truly live the way they should with humans constantly building and expanding cities. With out hunters you end up with animals so overly populated they start to starve, diseases spread faster and occur for frequently cause slow painful deaths to the animals. Just like when we have very light winters Darwin's survival of the fittest goes out the window because mother nature isn't testing the animals and getting rid of the week ones. Also several of the listed animals hunt and kill the animals we do eat such as but not limited to turkey, moose, elk, and deer. I have seen and watched 2 Coyotes eat a fully mature male deer alive eating the anus and hine-corners 1st but i accept this as a natural event even tho the deer suffered the whole time until finally bleeding to death. ( same thing goes for packs of wolves but they will kill fox and coyotes for fun/ to protect their territory)
Now on the ones we dont eat such as but not limited to turkey, moose, elk, deer, and bear. Many people think these animals are cute and fun to watch and i would say you are correct my favorite thing to do is off season of hunting is to hike the areas i like to hunt. A to see the new game trails B to see the animals with no pressure from humans C to just have fun in the out doors. But with that said these animals destroy crops which make farmers lose out on their means of survival. Many of these animals are so overly populated that we hit them with cars and kill them that way and cost us money and or a loss of a family member.
