have you seen how they train kids in China?

for the Beijing Olympics, the goverment looked for promising kids for many different sports and trained them in the most horrible ways, it was iterally torture, with the kids crying while they were doing stuff to gain strength, resistance or flexibility.

e: images are a bit rough, google nanning gym

not to mention most of these athletes came out of poverty and getting a medal is their only way into a comfortable life

vouch...in China...it's the GOVERNMENT telling athletes' coaches what to do. So yea...more like...gold or die.

guess this could be sort of true. Specially for Nk

I think most athletes are doping, not just China/Korea, and not just weight lifting.

Obviously I don't mean the air rifle/archery type competitors

given the ridiculous improvements and also the amount of athletes who were already caught cheating...

Who are you talking about, that had a ridiculous improvement and was already caught cheating in these Olympics?

Life sucks sometimes, especially if you are not American. Would you rather the kids from 3rd world countries be forced to make tennis shoes for Lebron and Kobe, than train at athletics?

Did you see the mens 10k? Did you know the Gold medalist from the UK and the Silver medalist from USA train together in Oregon and are both part of the Nike Oregon project? Talk about sudden improvements in a short amount of time.......geez!

Very well possible Phil Knight and his company invented a new steroid.
