Baseball is a game of hot and cold streaks. Teams collaspe in September quite frequently. How many times has a team came back from a 3-0 defecit in hockey? 3 times ever. Just because ignorant people who don't only know nothing about hockey let alone know anything about the sport they "like" doesn't mean it's worse. You don't lose 4 games in a row in a best of 7 series after winning the first 3 in hockey, it just doesn't happen. Teams, even good teams all the time have horrible months in baseball.

So it has happened 3 times already? How is that suppose to help your theory when Boston just blew a 9 game lead when it has NEVER been done... It is more rare to blow a 3-0 lead in baseball and they have a much richer history than any other sport out there...

Agreed with everything except the last part.

Red Sox by far. They were considered to possibly contend with the '27 Yankees to be the #1 team of all time, and they blow a 9 game lead in September to allow the Rays to make it over them. Not only that but they were 1 out away from winning their final game (against Baltimore) and they blew the save. If Boston didn't blow the save they would have forced a playoff.

Teams have blown close to that much, the Braves were farther ahead at one point too. Teams in baseball collapse all the time. Coming back for a 3-0 playoff defecit is much rarer.

Easiest question ever.

1st time in history vs. 3rd time in history.

Plus factor in that the Bruins weren't exactly an overwhelming favorite coming into that series originally, whereas the Sox were obviously expected to make the playoffs.

1st time in history for what? The Cardianals were farther back then the Rays, they just started coming back before September.

First time anyone blew a 9 game lead in September. How is that so hard for you to understand? Each post you make only serves as evidence you are not able to understand anything in this conversation making your points useless...
