your just upset because the Chinese invented Tennis

I don't see at all why I would be offended by that in any way, and I have no idea who invented tennis by the way.

Tennis originated from a 12th century French game called paume (meaning palm); it was a court game where the ball was struck with the hand. Paume evolved into jeu de paume and rackets were used. The game spread and evolved in Europe. In 1873, Major Walter Wingfield invented a game called Sphairistikè (Greek for "playing ball) from which modern outdoor tennis evolved.

Games of racket and ball (including real tennis in Great Britain, royal tennis in Australia, and court tennis in the United States, all of which are the same game and played indoors) originated from a 12th and 13th century French handball game called jeu de paume (game of the palm). In 1873, Major Walter Wingfield invented a game called sphairistikè, from which modern outdoor tennis evolved.

NFL athletes get a break all the time when play stops or the line changes. Just like hockey players.

These athletes don't even come close to being the world's best.

Oh because getting breaks means you are a bad athlete.

I guarantee any NFL running back could play rugby and they would tear shit up.

Actually the best athletes would be what we call 'Meerkamp', I have no idea what it's called in English but it's also an olympic sport in which you have to compete in many different fields of athletics such as high jump, a distance run, javelin throwing etc. If you win a gold medal at that you're overall the best athlete of all competitors. To me it's the ultimate sport if you're looking at athletes in general.

Sports like American football claim to have the best athletes because they have strength, but many sports are not based on strength at all, and more about precision and the endless practice of the same movement instead of just eating and going to the gym to be able to run into someone. You can make a point for and against any sport this way, so it's impossible to say whether or not Rugby is better than american football, or that tennis is better or worse than regular football etc, so the best answer would be to have a sport in which all sorts of skills are required, which brings me to athletics.

Yea, weighing 300+ lbs and still being able to run a 4.5 40 yd dash is the sign of a guy who just eats and goes to the gym to be able to run into someone. I'm not saying football players are clearly atthe top, but don't discard an athlete you know nothing about, just shows you are ignorant and unable to engage in an intelligent conversation...

Rubgy players only run through one guy, NFL running backs try to run through 8 guys on the defense

Rugby looks like a game you would make up when you were 10 and just had a ball and some trees to make a game out of.

american football looks like a game invented by an overweight imbecile.

since he had very low stamina (and also a very short attention span) he made it break every few seconds - that was also great because it allowed him to eat some burgers while watching the cheerleaders.
since he wasn't very creative he wrote all the possible plays down in a playbook - the breaks allowed him to select new plays while chewing his burgers.

some clever marketing experts discovered this would be the ideal game for america since most people there have a very short attention span and big appetite, too.
also they discovered that they could put in the most commercials per minutes played in any game - perfect!

and that's how football quickly became the most popular "sport" in america...
