Athletic sports require more athleticism in their respective, competitive environments than skill based sports do. That's a fact, it's not something you could really troll with.

EX. Roger Gracie isn't in the best shape, he's doesn't have the best cardio and he's not the most explosive BJJ practitioner but he's undoubtedly the world's best player.


Athletic sports vs Skill based sports.. it's not an easy comparison to make.

Basketball is a very athletic sport and so is BJJ.

running long distances/cardio are not the only things that constitutes athleticism, and there is quite a bit of cardio involved in those sports as well.

Running half marathons at a competitive level is much tougher than the shape you need to be in for basketball.
Yet Basketball takes skill.
