basketball can be played outside, tennis is played outside for the majority ,etc etc
we're not gonna move those into the outdoor sports sub forum if there is 1?
i agree with grouping it with something else if possible, but i think a simple "The Great Outdoors" sub forum would more than suffice for the OP's suggestion and others not only pertaining to sports
with that being said, its kind of a debate of whether mountain climbing is a sport in the 1st place? wheres the competition?
im not bashing it at all im just thinking maybe it doesnt even belong in the sports coliseum's sub forums
There are many types of climbing competitions: Bouldering, red point, on-sight, and speed climbing and a few. A lot of these climbing competitions take place indoors, so making a great outdoors forum would not work, it would need to be a extreme sports forum.

i voted no because golf and other shit comes way before this, plus thats health and fitness go there if u wanna talk about that shit
Your argument is invalid, all sports have something to do with health and fitness.
But, if you want to have that kind of perspective, maybe we should move American football to the "movies and entertainment" forum... since its basically just a show for rednecks and american sheep who likes whatever is "popular".

Is this a joke or?
How many times have you seen a thread about any of that and how popular is it?

We could just lump it into the "Unpopular activities" sub-forum.
sorry kiddies, but this is not a high school popularity contest, the fact of the matter is that climbing is a sport, and one the most extreme sports that there is.
competitive climbing is starting to really take off as a sport though~ you'll be seeing more of this sport in the near future.
just in case any one is interested in learning more about competitive climbing,
http://www.ifsc-climbing.org/ is the link to the international climbing federations website, everything needed to know about the sport is there.
