i dont think you can push yourself to the max in tennis or golf... if you use too much strength then you will overshoot the hole or the little white tennis line

football in essense is one huge man pushing another huge man that is pushing at him
and then you have to use all of your strength to tackle somebody

not to mention all the smarts related shit

But does physically demanding mean strength? Tennis is far more intense to play than many other sports. hockey or 'football' aren't all about stamina, soccer is a lot more(also strength though), does that mean hockey is harder on the body? Doubt it. Also don't underestimate the strength you need for tennis, to hit a hard topspin ball you need to position yourself perfectly and it takes a lot of energy.

In tennis you get far less time to rest than in 'Football' or in baseball. Also don't forget: a men's tennis match usually lasts for at least 2.5 hours and up to 5 hours for the tougher matches(not rare at all), and there has been a match of 10(!) hours last year.

They get a 1-2 minute break after everything game or set or whatever its called.
Then, when it gets to hot, they don't play.

You cant get hurt inn golf/tennis so there, it can't be considered a real sport.

soccer or boxing would then be the most physically demanding in terms of cardiovascular activity

but as far as using all parts of your body or putting your body in the way of the sport, football or perhaps rugby

*Yawn* . Today's tennis news: Australian open winner Novak Djokovic out of the Rotterdam tennis tournament due to a shoulder injury + extreme exhaustion. American football is the least intense sport of the entire list, or maybe after golf. There is more rest than in any other sport, it's hilarious. All about commercials and the game is interrupted every .. well I should actually say.. the actual game is play 1/5th of the match time. Hilarious how you kids are still fooled into 'liking' it.

Baseball and Golf are two of the most mentally tough sports.

It's obviously tennis.
The only sport that stabs you with a huge knife by someone you didn't see coming.

people saying tennis doesnt require strength or isnt a real sport r honestly retarded

u do hit the ball as hard as u can, and if ur skilled, it wont go over the baseline, if ur not, then it will. O and u can easily get injured in tennis just like any other sport probably not golf tho, golf isnt a sport

the most physically and mentally demanding sport tho IMO wud be gymnastics, it really fucks with ur head trying to learn new shit

team sports arent as mentally demanding i dont think as individual or 1v1 sports, u really gotta have ur head in the game when ur alone

Why is not athletics a choice by the way? It's basically the most all-round showcase of what the human body is able to do. Strength, speed, precision, stamina, etc.
