Ok, where his times are now, I honestly don't see how anyone could beat him, or really progress much further in sprinting. Pre changed the whole game of middle distance, Bolt is just making the records harder. You can't run a sprint differently, other than sprint it (especially the 100).

Pre made the mile a near sprint, he changed the first two laps from pace to a hard run. He changed the 3 mile to the same thing. He broke a record by 6.8 seconds. I agree, bolt is going to make people try newer things to beat him, but I highly doubt it will happen.

And he isn't making the sport more popular, he doesn't have the charisma of Pre, who brought running back to the public.

I understand what you're getting at, but you can't say it's on the same scale as what Pre did for the popularity of the sport. His influence still lives to today. If in 30 years Bolt's influence on the sport is still lingering, then I'll think otherwise.

Apparently it is considering the fact that no one knows who this Pre fag even is.

People know Bolt, people like him, people like watching him run. He has that personality and he can run.

pre is a long distance running legend(well to me its long distance, technically its "mid distance" or w.e, 5k is a long fuckin run)

Bolt is faster, for sure. And I love him, no doubt, I just love Pre a little more because of the way it ended. That made him a legend/tragic story.
