The scenery is one thing, but the thing I do it for is because it's so hard. You feel every muscle in your body hurting like hell, knowing that it's still a long way to the top... That's the feeling I love.

zomg yes yes lol I love how I can feel my lungs getting stronger and in those high altitudes your lungs get quite powerful
idk something to do with the lungs and heavy breathing is like a rush to me haha

I know what you mean. :)
In July I've been working in Switzerland for a month, and in my spare time I often went for a ride. There's pretty much no flat roads out there, if you know what I mean. I've been training a lot there, and now I'm able to ride way further and longer and faster than I used to. Gotta love it. :p

omg I love watching my speedometer / odometer and having it show 28 mph instead of 27.8 mph as my max speed makes me happy and makes me wana ride harder! lol cycling in swtiz must be a sight to see i wish i could cycle there ^_^

My maximum in Switzerland was 46.25 mph.

On another note, it's quite funny how expensive all your stuff is compared to mine.
My equipment's prices:
Bike: €300
Helmet: €25
Gloves: €6
Shoes: €20
Pedals & saddle & tires: Got them for free when I bought the bike.
Jersey: €60
Shorts: €35

I'm almost scared to see your reaction. :D

My shop is really bad, but giant. They have everything you need; it's just bad quality and quite cheap.
My brakes are really bad and quite dangerous actually... And I've been to that shop a couple of times to get them fixed, and they've never done it properly.

ive grown up in an around the cycling culture, my mother and father both raced and my mom was a ref too. dad raced tandem, track, and road, and xc mtb. mom raced road and xc/downhill mtb.

myself, i dont cycle to compete i just do it cuz its engrained in me. my avorite bike is my handmade steel frame from a famous westcoast frame builder set up with vingage campoy components. i do not ride a fixie i think they are retardedoutside of a track or for "freestyle riding". i also have a touring bike that i have rode no a few solo tours ranging from overnight to a 1800 mile journey through the northwest USA and along the west coast.

feel free to pm me if u have any cycling related questions i have a vast amount of experience and knowledge.
