there was a vibrant cricket competition in and around philadelphia but it slumped due to lack of international competition
but there is still (or again) some sort of cricket competition in the usa, more though in canada
both usa and canada have associate status within the international cricket council, the second level after full membership
ring the people in above link to find out when you can see cricket live there
btw, there are three different types of cricket competition
traditional, ie 3-5 day matches depending on the level (5 scheduled days for tests between full members)
one day matches, scheduled for 6 or more hours depending on the country and number of overs bowled by each side
and the shortest form (just a hit and bash feast) consisting of 20 overs = 120 legal balls bowled by each side
