What hurts more, an open ice hit or an open field tackle?

Depends where you get hit (I can already predict that the hockey fans of jsp are going to enter this thread in droves to hype the only sport they watch regardless of anything else). What's to say a good check in hockey is more painful than a guy getting his knee blown-out playing football. Both sports have their athletes suffering from CTE, so they're both equally painful in the long run.

So nhl fans can't watch other sports? Piss off.

Nhl fans tend to look down upon other sports, at least on this forum.

NFL have the bigger hits.
But they also have a week(unless Thursday Night Football) to recover.
NHL players play a lot more games, including best of 7 series' when NFL is win or go home each round. NHL players play back to back nights or every other night most of the time. So at the end it probably leans towards hockey.

To answer the poll question, Football.

I'm 51% hockey 49% football when it comes to my favorite sport so I can be fair with these 2. ;)

Why not put 1980s NBA up there?

That league had the hardest hits.
