I don't mean physically, I mean mentally and emotionally.

What I mean is, we are far to easy on criminals, murders, repeat offenders, etc. I personally feel, serial killers should be tortured when caught. Why be "humane" with a person who wasn't humane with their victims? That's just an example of what I mean. I think, we as a people are way to f***ing soft. Say a celebrity dies. They post it all over the news, saying how its a tragedy, how it's all sad and everything, as if we are supposed to care. WHy can't they say "x died" and leave it at that?

More to it, not with just what penalties are. People just aren't as strong as they should be. We shouldn't be worrying about things like being "civilized" or "politically correct" in MANY situations, but people are.

Humans are far more advanced emotionally that's why, we develop relationships with people that animals do not. We communicate much deeper and interact with one another ways that other species do not.

Animals mourn too, they just don't express it the same way as us all the time.
