"Immortal Tatsu," the legendary yakuza who single-handedly defeated a rival gang with a lead pipe, is a name known to strike fear in both hardened police officers and vicious criminals. Soon after his sudden disappearance, he resurfaces with a slight change in profession. Now equipped with an apron, Tatsu has given up violence and is trying to make an honest living as a house husband.

While adapting to mundane household tasks, Tatsu finds that being a house husband has its own challenges, from the battlefield known as supermarket sales to failures in the kitchen. Despite living peacefully, misunderstandings seem to follow him left and right. Gokushufudou follows the daily life of the comically serious ex-yakuza as he leaves behind his dangerous previous life to become a stay-at-home husband.



PURE GOLD CALLING IT HERE

the story sounds awesome but the animation makes it unwatchable for me
its like they colored the manga and made it into a powerpoint presentation

also first episode was way better than 2nd lets see how this goes

shame it turned out to be absolute trash because they decided to animate it like a god damn power point.
it's so jarring the way it moves from scene to scene in those fast cuts, could barely make it past the first episode.

when i first heard about it i was hyped since the manga is so good.
but then after that PV awhile back all hope was lost.

could have been one of the best sketch/daily life comedy series in a good while (since Asobi/Chio-chan) but it had like a $5 budget i guess. lol

ya budget seemed low indeed

i don't know why though, it's Netflix.
they've funded plenty of pretty decent anime series so far.
plus it's not like this Manga was unpopular either.

dunno why this one had to get beaten brutally with the half a frame per second stick.

I take this back this show is 100% gold I can confirm after watching all 5 episodes

I was going to say, am I the only person that found this really good. xD
