Action/Adventure

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood - An anime classic. EVERYONE should watch this at least once. The original Full Metal Alchemist anime veered away from the source material, so they remade it after the manga was finished and this is the final product. It's fucking awesome.
Black Clover - This and My Hero are like a lot of other Shonen shows, but they do it better than must. Neither are Hunter x Hunter quality, but they're far superior to Bleach/Naruto and all that other generic shit.
My Hero Academia
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - A lot of people dislike the first season, get at least past the first arc and the show gets significantly better. Imo, each season has been better than the one before it.
YuYu Hakusho - It's a bit dated, but still worth the watch.
The Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime - One of the few watchable ongoing shows atm

Dark(ish) and awesome Anime

Death Note - Personal favorite of mine. I feel like everyone's seen this one, surprised it wasn't on your list.
Future Diary - I don't want to give anything away on this one, part of what makes it so intriguing from the get-go, is that "What the fuck is going on" feeling.
Monster - This is the longest show I've listed, but if you like psychological thrillers, it's worth investing your time. It's not action packed, it's a slow and tense burn, but it's fucking good.
Parasyte - Alien invasions, great animation, violent and filled with enjoyable characters
Gantz - This is a fucked up show. Just watch it. It's uncomfortable at times, but worth checking out.
Deadman Wonderland - One of my favorite fucked up shows, but it does have an anticlimactic ending.
Goblin Slayer - New anime following a guy who kills Goblins. Pretty fucked up/entertaining
Steins Gate - Can't even begin to describe this masterpiece.

Misc

Code Geass - Strategy/mech - Some meh points, but filled with epic mental battles throughout
Samurai Champloo - Stunning art with comedy aspects, a classic.
Fate/Zero - Heroes of the past battle in the holy grail war - Epic characters, one of the coolest MCs ever.
Unlimited Blade Works - Followup to Fate/Zero. Not as good, but entertaining and worth the watch.
