So I just finished watching the first season of SOA and I had a few questions..

first off I loved the first 15 episodes of them actually being in SAO. I enjoyed everything about it, the concept, the characters.. everything.
but once I hit episodes 16+ it felt as though there wasn't really any reason to continue watching other then to finish the show.
they took away the idea of dying irl if you die in game and the anime kinda lost it's grab on me.

my question is; how is season 2 of this show?
is there any reason to watch it at all or is it another rescue the princess type scenario like the last 10 episodes of season 1?

Also are there any other anime similar to the idea of the first part of SAO?

16-24 meh

2nd season: garbage imo



they lost the concept of being trapped in a game with only 1 life

Season 1 first arc: OMG AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
Season 1 second arc: okay, will watch even if its just for kirito's badassery.

Season 2 first arc: awesome
Season 2 second arc: OH MY GOD! THIS FEELS LIKE THE FIRST 13/15 episodes of SAO 1! AWESOME MONSTERS

Pretty accurate. GGO was pretty entertaining, obvious but entertaining. Second season has been trash since then.

SAO was only good during the first arc. Everything else is trash. As expected from an author who doesn't even play MMOs

SAO, it brings a new twist at first but you can only stick around after the 16th episode if you actually wanna see what the characters do with their lives.
