Is this more of a drama than anything else? I really couldn't get into the first episode.... Going to watch at least 5 episodes before and giving up.

It takes a ton of setup to really get going. Everything has a purpose and it's great story telling but yeah it doesn't seem like a 10/10 series until you hit the 2nd half.

I just watched the first episode and I feel like there is a prequel to this I haven't watched yet. Is there?

No.

Steins gate really starts after a few episodes.

The first 1-5 episodes are to introduce characters, then shit starts to happen and you'll wish '' GOOD THAT I DIDN'T DROP THIS!!!! ''

They just jump right into lol. Idk why but the one I'm watching has two first episodes? I'm guessing 2 pilots? What's the reason for this?
