What made it that bad?

The plot sucked, not sure how to explain it.

Had no redeeming fan service, plot sucked, MC is a huge faggot and look like 90% of this subforum. Makes it unpleasing to watch.

2nd half of Accel World was more bearable than the 2nd half of the first season of SAO.

I liked the show and would recommend it to friends (solely for the reason that they'd probably ask about virtual reality animes), but not something I'd rewatch.

99% the reason i dropped it after like 15 episodes. I can't stand the MC. 1% goes towards the fact that there were no good female leads imo.
