or is it blind then brotherhood

fma and fmab are completely separate. blind is a side story to fmab.

2 separate stories

FMA follows the manga until a certain point and then goes anime original

FMAB follows the manga

Personally I just recommend FMAB but there are some people that prefer the original FMA

brotherhood looks boring on the first 10min mark of ep 1 =/
I think I'll quit fmab and blind since im done with the original fma

the first episode of FMAB is actually a filler episode

And then like the next 10 or so episodes are stuff that has already happened in the original anime but faster paced and after that is all new stuff from the manga.

In my opinion, FMAB is MUCH better than Full Metal Alchemist, I've seen both. Definitely worth the watch and gives a much more engaging story with a more fulfilling ending.

Agreed.

the first episode isnt a filler, they explain why he was there much later in the show.
it may even be in the last few episodes, cant remember.

fmab is the kids story with happy ending(follows the shounen manga)

fma is the unique-ish story made more serious and has this sad vibe to it, but it doesn't actually leave anything open if u bother to watch the movie too

fma is darker and less "lucky go happy". If you have the time, i'd say watch original first, then go to brotherhood. They kind skimp out a bit on character development in brotherhood
