Where the first girl the viewers/mc meets doesn't win in a romance?
Childhood friends = no count.

Even in movies, the first girl the mc/viewers meet always win.
i.e cat woman in dark knight rises, we met her before we met the red head girl and cat woman won.

In this series, Honoka was the first potential love interest our mc saw, but the first volume of the series was mostly about Aoi.
Btw, Honoka won by the end of the series.

For sure, I thoguht he met his gf first tho.

Aku no hana he meets glasses girl first, but loves the other girl.
Also GE he sees the otehr girl first, but right after that talks to his wife.

It really varies, but still, you cant beat first girl trope

but doesnt Talia Al Ghul actually actually win?
