Takes place between the Fishman arc and the current Punk Hazard arc.
So you get to see SOME of the straw hats true fighting power we been waiting for.


This movie is absolutely amazing and it will remind you everything One Piece is about.

I am guessing you are taking about Film Z.
Ya it came out last December is Japan and came out subbed around April this year (I think).

Doesn't really take place between fishman island and punk hazard because it isn't really possible (manga canon wise) but Oda was involved in the movie. (What happens in the movie isn't canon but most likely Zephyr and other characters are canon.....maybe)

If you only follow the anime you will soon learn about some of the new Schichibukai except for the 7th one which hasnt been revealed on the manga yet. It is possible it will be the one mentioned in the movie but we will have to find out.


the movie is really awesome and really worth watching. I personally like it more than Strong World which is also really good. The best animation we will see of One Piece (until the next Oda involved movie comes out xD).
