like who gintama is, is he strong, are they fighting strong enemies with real epic action scenes and such

you get a story arc every so often
but mostly one-shot/two-shot episodes

You dont want for story, you watch for lulz.

Just go watch it, the first few episodes are really dry but picks up really well later.

Well if you liked the first 3 episodes you will definitely really like the series

Starts off pretty slow introducing all the characters
After 20ish episodes it starts getting way better
Around episode 50-60 the first serious story arc happens
